Car Keys Near Me is a trading name used by a network of independent, self-employed auto locksmiths, each trading as a sole trader in their own area. UK wide mobile service (no public premises). Contact: info@carkeysnearby.co.uk / 07520 651 727.

We provide mobile auto locksmith services, including cutting and coding car keys, spare keys, fob repairs and vehicle lockouts, carried out at your location.

Work is carried out by the independent auto locksmith who covers your area. Your contract for the work, and your invoice and payment, are with that locksmith, who is responsible for the service they provide. Each locksmith carries their own insurance and is responsible for their own tax and legal obligations. We coordinate enquiries and set the shared standards the network works to.

• Any price shown or given over the phone or messaging is an estimate based on the information you provide. It is confirmed as a fixed price before any work begins.
• The final price depends on the vehicle, the key type and the work required. If details change on arrival, we will agree any revised price with you before starting.
• There is no call-out fee.

The attending locksmith will confirm payment arrangements with you directly before work begins.

Submitting the quote form is a request for us to contact you, not a confirmed booking. A contract is formed only when you accept the fixed price given by the attending locksmith.

Because bookings are agreed by phone, message or at your location, they are distance or off-premises contracts under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason, starting the day the contract is made.

If you need the work done within that 14-day period, you are expressly requesting that we start straight away. You may still cancel, but you must pay for the work already carried out up to the point of cancellation, in proportion to the agreed price. Once the service is fully performed at your express request, the right to cancel is lost. To cancel, call or email us using the details above; you may use the model cancellation form in the Regulations but you do not have to.

You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorised to request work on it, and that the information you give us is accurate. We may ask for proof of ownership or identity before carrying out work.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where none has been agreed in advance. If it is not, you are entitled to have the work put right or, where that is not possible, to an appropriate price reduction. Any parts supplied must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or consequential losses is excluded.

If something is not right, contact us at info@carkeysnearby.co.uk or 07520 651 727 and we will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days, working with the locksmith who attended. If we cannot resolve it between us, you can seek help from Citizens Advice consumer service or take the matter to court.
